El Cajon Blvd Update

El Cajon Blvd Update

Progress continues on several developments near the western end of El Cajon Boulevard, including two projects at Texas and Howard. Community Housing Works’ North Park Senior Apartments project opens 12/2017 (all photos are a few weeks old):

Broadstone North Park will bring another 118 units across the street, plus a rooftop terrace:

Fenton’s BLVD at Florida and El Cajon has begun construction.  It will include an outpost of the Tap Room, whose Pacific Beach location has an excellent tap list with lots of obscure options.  Scheduled to open 1/2018, although that seems a bit ambitious:

The Evelyn is going in next door to Pizzeria Luigi:

Exotic Gardens is across the street in the former succulent and cactus shop location, wrapping around the business on the corner lot:

dam Market on Illinois just north of El Cajon had a preview opening last month:

Moving on from El Cajon Blvd… on Park, Park and Polk looks topped out:

Tucci Row development coming to the northeastern corner of Park and Monroe:

Nice to have a new Trader Joes at SDSU, just a short bus ride from our place in Kensington, but their frosted windows offer zero storefront interest to pedestrians:

Lots of people turned out for Art on Adams earlier this month:

Near 30th and Adams, this building looks great now with all the grocery store signage gone and two vibrant restaurants inside:

Fresh coat of paint for the Normal Heights post office:

San Diego Poke is open on Adams, glad to have poke close to home now:

And so is Little Miss Brewing across the street:

  1. Who needs to peer inside a Trader Joe’s to see what they have? Are you ever fucking happy? Jesus Christ, man. Of all the petty things to cry about.
