pinkberry coming to hillcrest
the signs outside the old p.b. hardware (or is it garden? i already forgot) building at 4th and robinson say pinkberry is coming to san diego. this korean-owned yogurt (or is it?) chain has been a big hit in LA. i stopped into the one in weho to get change for the meter, and really like the hip design they use. can't vouch for the yogurt since i can't eat it, but it must be good if it's so popular. and this one should be a hit given its proximity to all those fun restaurants in hillcrest.
UPDATE, 08/11/2008: well it only took 14 months, but pinkberry hillcrest opens tomorrow, tuesday august 12th, according to the woman handing out fliers yesterday at city fest. enjoy!

what a coincidence, i just came across your blog earlier today catdirt.
Have you tried Yogurt World on Convoy? It's soooo good. I've never tried Pinkberry, but I hear it's overrated, especially compared to Yogurt World =)
yes, i wrote about it a couple months back. they have a dairy-free version that i can eat and it was really good.
FRUCCI YOGURT is so much cheaper and tastier than Pinkberry.
I recommend their pina colada~! Unbelievably delicious!!!
