graffiti project on el cajon blvd.
the graffiti project on the facade of the old san diego sound and lighting building looks almost complete. it's on el cajon boulevard just east of park and is a project sponsored by its business improvement association. check out the great work the artists are doing:

considering there's a graffiti cleanup planned for north park this weekend, it's good to see opportunities like these for local graffiti artists.

Great public art. You should submit them as an Orchid for this year's O&O program.
Great colors. SD should encourage more art like this throughout the urban neighborhoods ala South St. in Philly. I'd much rather look at something like this instead of another beige stucco facade.
Conor recently told me he heard some one already hit this mural up with silver paint.
hey chris, that's too bad. hope they can paint over it.
Yeah this mural was done with 100%aerosol cans and most of them are retired graffiti writers, therefor sometimes you have punks from the graffiti community who don't like the fact that these artist only paint legallly, and they like to ruin peices like this...unfortunate but they can usually fix them
i drove by there last friday and it looked fine - guess they've fixed it already?
